Digital Mango Joins Tezos Ecosystem As New Baker and Developments’ Contributor

Tezos is now welcoming its newest corporate baker (block validator), Digital Mango, to its ecosystem. The company is a consultancy firm that increases accessibility to photovoltaic investments for all. Now that it is a Tezos baker, Digital Mango will validate transactions (blocks) and add them to the Tezos blockchain.

Additionally, the firm will have voting rights proportional to the number of tokens it stakes or those delegated to it. This makes it one of the contributors to the network’s developments and evolution. On top of that, the company will plan and design commercial and community-scale photovoltaic projects. This will ensure such projects’ goals are accomplished and they progress beyond their mission. Digital Mango will use a unique blockchain-powered crowdfunding program to finance these projects.

Jim Dowling, Digital Mango representative, added: “Becoming a corporate baker on Tezos came naturally, it is the only fully operational smart contract enabled blockchain which is coherent with our objectives and values. In addition to this, we were drawn to Tezos because of its forkless nature which makes it perfect for issuing security tokens.”

Tezos as an open-source ecosystem seeks to resolve primary barriers of blockchain adoption for applications and assets. This mission is backed by a global community of developers, validators, and researchers. Digital Mango is now joining this community, offering delegation services for Tezos and becoming a pro-active participant of its network.

Last month, Digital Mango baked its first block on Tezos. As a celebratory gesture, the company tasked digital artist Kevin Ufarte with developing a non-fungible token (NFT) illuminating the elements of what it takes to be a digital mango. Presently, 31 such NFTs have been minted on the Kalamint platform. The next five delegates of the Digital Mango baker who sign up for the company’s newsletter will win Ufarte’s exclusive collection.

Thibaut Chessé, Adoption Manager in France at Nomadic Labs, commented: “We are particularly delighted to welcome Digital Mango as a corporate baker to the Tezos ecosystem; Diversifying our corporate baker network with non-crypto-native participants is an essential step for Tezos to bridge with the real economy.”

Nomadic Labs is one of the largest research and development centers of the Tezos ecosystem responsible for the blockchain’s evolution. Holding over 50 engineering researchers, Nomadic Labs provides technical support to companies and institutions in France, Belgium, and Luxembourg that wish to use Tezos for business purposes.

Tezos itself boasts of being an energy-efficient, self-upgradable blockchain that supports upcoming developments with zero network disruptions.
