ARK has been working tirelessly round the clock to make its platform the best in the world of the blockchain. The ARK team has announced the imminent release of the ARK Core V2.

The ARK team announced back in November 2017 that it was going to revamp its platform from the scratch to offer users an even faster platform.

The developers have been very busy with the final testing phase of ARK V2, and within a short while, it will be ready for public testing on the Devnet.

Although the ARK team has made it clear that there is no specific timeframe for the completion of the testing, they have however stated that once it’s completed, the world will be invited to hack it, test and review it, report the bugs found and suggest improvements.

The V2 core works smoothly with the V1 core. Hence there will be a hard fork, and the ARK team will announce the block height at which the fork will happen when the time comes. Some important points to note concerning the upgrade include:

Block times: The block time will remain the same. Reducing the number of nodes, delegates and controlling the location of dedicated servers will make the network less decentralized

Fees:  The members of the ARK community have sent their feedback regarding fees on the network.

ARK Core v2 will come with very meager fees, and ARK will enter into the history books as the first DPoS Blockchain to implement a dynamic fee system.

ARK Core V2 comes with unlimited features, and it will be a hundred percent backward compatible to make the transition process to a new codebase, as frictionless as possible. It is modularized faster and more accessible to hackers, giving it a high level of smoothness and usability.
