OKCoin Ties Up With Unstoppable Domains, Simplifying Crypto Wallet Addresses

Cryptocurrency exchange OKCoin has announced support for “.crypto” domain names that can serve as easy-to-remember wallet addresses.

OKCoin Makes Wallet Addresses Easy to Use

OKCoin has partnered with Unstoppable Domains, the development team behind “.crypto” domain names, for integration with the exchange wallets.

By introducing “.crypto” domain names, OKCoin will simplify deposits and withdrawals for exchange users across 192 countries.

Despite massive user growth, cryptocurrency wallets still rely on long and complicated addresses to make transactions, which can be inconvenient for many users.

According to OKCoin, usability is also critical to onboard new cryptocurrency users as the market continues to evolve.

Therefore, the crypto exchange will provide its users the ability to create easy-to-remember names as a replacement for wallet addresses.

“OKCoin is committed to identifying and implementing strategies to provide the best exchange experience for customers, and Unstoppable Domains greatly increases the ease of sending crypto, which can be difficult for new users,” said Haider Rafique, CMO at OKCoin.

Users can type a simple domain name (e.g., bob.crypto) instead of using a long alphanumeric wallet address to make a transaction.

Unstoppable Domains has led the integration of its domain names service with leading projects in the blockchain space, including Litewallet, CoinBase, Chainlink, Trust Wallet, Gemini Custody, MyEtherWallet, and others.

“The Unstoppable Domains integration with OKCoin will be a linchpin for exchanges to leverage human-readable names as the domain standard to simplify the onboarding process for new users,” said Brad Kam, co-founder of Unstoppable Domains.

For OKCoin, the integration of blockchain domain names is yet another useful feature on the exchange. Just recently, the platform also announced an integration with Lightning Network for reduced Bitcoin fees.
