ARK Proudly Sponsors the Bi-annual Princeton University Student Hackathon

The ARK team is a proud sponsor of the just concluded Princeton Hackathon. The event which focuses on developing new programmers, developers and entrepreneurs from colleges and universities all over the continent was a huge success.

At the bi-annual hackathon, students are divided into groups and given 36 hours to develop a software or a hardware system.

The Organizers of the event said that:

“Whether you’re new to coding /design hardware or a seasoned hacker, you have a place at HackPrinceton. All we expect is a passion for learning, a willingness to collaborate with people of different backgrounds and a desire to benefit the world with technology.”

At the event, ARK scouted for promising blockchain talents, presented the ARK system to developers amongst other activities.

Competitors at the hackathon who wished to try their hands on programming the ARK system were given a lightweight deployment script used in creating the ARK Deployer.

As stated by the ARK team, the platform’s primary objective is making it easier for businesses, expert developers as well as student developers to have access to its linked chain blockchain system.

The ARK team successfully launched the ARK Deployer script, making it easy for anyone who wished to explore the technology, learn the workings of the system and ultimately launch their blockchain systems on the ARK platform, in a seamless manner.

The ARK Deployer Script lets users look for bugs and loopholes on the platform. It also gives users a sneak peek into the virtual web of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin through the ARK SmartBridge technology. This innovative feature makes it possible for ARK to use elements of other blockchains openly across different chains.

ARK Deployer devs can also create decentralized applications (dApps) using the platform’s simple REST API in more than twelve unique programming languages.

Some of the ARK team members present at the hackathon include:

Mike Dutoy – ARK Co-founder

Khanh Vuong – Co-founder

Simon Downey – ARK IoT dev

Karel L. Kubat – ARK Community developer

Ruud Seegers – ARK community developer

Robert Hissink Muller – ARK community dev

ARK BridgeChain

The ARK BridgeChain allows users to run Ubuntu VM in Azure, Integrate Azure PublicIP and Firewall configurations as a pre-built element and many more features.

The ARK deployment script is re-usable and customizable, making it easy for users to quickly build their BridgeChain by following the steps outlined.

Users are required to have a Microsoft Azure account. Also, users are expected to have basic knowledge on how to connect through SSH.
